Karen A. Berman is the quintessential real estate broker.  She knows New York City and its housing market, works tirelessly on behalf of her clients and is a tough negotiator. With this she brings enthusiasm and a smile that have helped her sell more than 4,000 co-op and condominium apartments and rent an additional 3,500 during her career.

Karen, Vice President and Director of Sales for Argo Residential, handles all phases of cooperative and condominium sales, including sublets.  One of the industry’s movers and shakers, she is well-known for her ability to focus on the needs of her clients and provide personal attention and insight whether selling or buying an apartment.

Karen joined The Argo Corporation in 1975 as a specialist in rent stabilization and control legislation.  As the conversion mania unfolded in New York City in 1976, she was appointed manager of Argo’s in-house sales agency for properties converted by the company. Subsequently she was promoted to her current position as Vice President and Director of Sales where she supervises Argo Residential’s sales force and listing activities.

With her knowledge of the lending market, Karen offers invaluable assistance in arranging financing, even during periods when lending institutions are highly selective. 

Karen is a licensed real estate broker and sits on the board of directors of several New York City cooperatives and condominiums.   She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, where she serves on several committees, the Association of Real Estate Women, the National Association of Realtors, the New York Multiple Listing Service and the Long Island Board of Realtors.
