Richard Apell is Controller of the Argo Corporation. Mr. Apell, who joined the Argo team in August 2000, has over 13 years of experience in real estate accounting, which includes residential and commercial properties, and has specialized in accounting for cooperative and condominium associations.

After graduating from Northeastern University with a BS degree in Finance and Accounting, Mr. Apell began his career as a property accountant with a small real estate firm. By demonstrating his thorough knowledge of real estate accounting, skills at working with the accounting staff, and old-fashioned hard work and dedication, he advanced into a controller position over the past seven years.

Prior to joining Argo, he was a controller with a major real estate management company. Mr. Apell is fully knowledgeable with all accounting functions and manages a staff of 10 persons in Argo's Accounting Department. Through the years, Mr. Apell has developed an expertise in budgeting and cash flow analysis, which has become an invaluable asset to Argo's management division and their clients. He has been especially responsive to changes in the financial community and its long and short-term impact on real estate holdings. Mr. Apell takes a very personal approach to financial management, handling every property and financial issue from an owner's perspective.

On his personal time, Richard enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. His interests include traveling, sports and music.
