Darren Johnson is the Director of Compliance at Argo Real Estate, where he partners with co-op and condominium Boards to help them successfully navigate and meet local law requirements. Prior to joining Argo, Darren served as a Senior Account Manager and Technical Lead for Existing Buildings & Electrification at Bright Power.

Over the course of his career as a building energy consultant, Darren has worked with multifamily portfolios representing more than 50,000 apartments across New York City, including some of the city’s largest properties. Recognized as an industry expert, he has participated in panels hosted by the Building Energy Exchange and the Council of New York

Cooperatives & Condominiums, and has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Habitat Magazine, and Skylight NYC.

Darren’s extensive experience enables him to provide Boards with a comprehensive, strategic perspective on local law compliance—helping them develop informed plans that address project execution and financial considerations across the short, medium, and long term.
