Director of Procurement & Vendor Management
Salary: up to $130,000
Position Summary
The Director of Procurement & Vendor Management provides strategic leadership for Argo's procurement, vendor management, purchasing, and procurement technology functions. This role is responsible for improving vendor performance, controlling costs, reducing risk, implementing technology solutions, and supporting operational excellence across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Cost Management
· Establish procurement standards, bidding requirements, and vendor selection processes.
· Negotiate pricing and identify portfolio-wide cost savings opportunities.
· Support budgeting through vendor pricing analysis and forecasting.
Vendor Management & Compliance
· Lead vendor relationships, performance management, and preferred vendor programs.
· Oversee vendor qualification, licensing, and insurance compliance processes.
· Serve as the escalation point for significant vendor issues.
Capital Project Support
· Provide procurement oversight and support for capital improvement projects.
· Ensure consistency in bidding, vendor selection, and procurement documentation.
Technology & Process Improvement
· Implement technology solutions, automation, and process improvements.
· Develop reporting, analytics, and dashboards to support decision-making.
Leadership
· Supervise procurement personnel and establish department KPIs.
· Promote accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
